Mesh generator to be used in a few view tomograph for industrial applications

In this paper we present a mesh generator that will be used in a divergent beam tomography of three, four, five and six views. The distance between the source and detectors can be determined considering the dimensions of the body being studied. To solve the direct problem we used a natural base. We have defined for a natural base the domain discretization, based on the intersection of all radiation paths from the source to the detectors.

From the mesh generation we obtain the dimensions of the elements of areas, with them we construct a matrix A, reducing the direct problem to multiply the matrix A by the values of the linear attenuation coefficients of each element of area belonging to the mesh.

The inverse problem is solved using ART-type algorithms.

Cases testes of industrial computed tomography images reconstruction are presented using as experimental data, simulated data with the code MCNP.
